Antares L
The NERI Antares L is a larger-format LED street and road luminaire engineered for high-output applications where demanding performance specifications and design integrity must coexist. Designed by Makio Hasuike for Italian manufacturer Neri S.p.A., the Antares L is the natural choice for arterial roads, major intersections, commercial precincts, industrial sites and large-scale campus environments where lumen requirements exceed what a compact fitting can deliver. Lumen packages span from 7,500 lm to 21,000 lm across CCTs of 2700K, 3000K and 4000K (Ra ≥70), with efficacy reaching up to 167 lm/W – making the Antares L a strong performer against both photometric and energy reduction targets. Eight optical distributions covering the full range of road and area lighting types, combined with zero upward light contribution (U=0 across all configurations), give lighting designers the precision control needed to meet Australian requirements and dark-sky commitments on the same project.
Designed with a button-opening system that does not require any type of tool, Antares was conceived to facilitate product installation and maintenance activities.
Construction & Optical Performance
At 762mm in length, the Antares L accommodates a larger LED array – 40 or 60 LEDs depending on lumen package – within the same clean geometric profile as the Antares S. The die-cast aluminium body (UNI EN 1706) integrates heat dissipation directly through the housing via dedicated channels to individual LEDs, maintaining LED junction temperatures within operating thresholds at ambient temperatures up to 50°C and supporting reliable long-term lumen maintenance. The optical system uses modular 2×2 refractive PMMA lenses, with an internal white polycarbonate reflector and 4mm extra-clear IK08-rated tempered glass screen. Standard Deviation Colour Matching is ≤5 across the range. IP66 protection rating and an osmotic valve for pressure balancing ensure the luminaire performs reliably across the full range of Australian outdoor environments.
Controls, Mounting and Compliance
The Antares L supports the same comprehensive driver ecosystem as the Antares S – ON/OFF+CLO, 1-10V+CLO, DALI+CLO, D4i+ZHAGA, Ampdim+CLO, and NVL6H+CLO —- providing specifiers with a clear path from standard switching to fully networked smart lighting control without changing the luminaire platform. The fitting mounts on Ø48mm and Ø60mm poles in both side-mounting and post-top configurations, with tilt adjustment from 0°/+20° (post-top) or -5°/+15° (bracket). An openable upper frame allows access to the auxiliary compartment without special tools, and both the LED module and control gear are field-replaceable by a qualified professional. ENEC certified and compliant with EN 60598-1, EN 60598-2-3, EN 62031, and associated EMC standards, the Antares L is available in Neri Grey textured finish (CN0) as standard.
